Your advertising agency will ask you about who your competitors are. Before making any decision, an experienced advertising specialist will examine the situation in your market segment (in your niche). Who are your competitors? How do they advertise themselves? What kind of communication they use?

The readers of your competion are also your potential readers. Knowing this, what can you offer them? In which areas is your blog is better, more interesting and more attractive?

One of the most common advertising techniques is to follow your competitors.

You can build your communication, knowing what your competitors offer to their readers. That means, subscribe to their newsletter, and become their loyal reader. What does it give to your blog?

1. It’s simple, knowing what’s happening in your niche, you can improve the communication for your product (the blog), because then you start thinking more broadly, as you’ve learned all the secret tricks of your competitor.

2. Some brands are not having a big budget to attract new consumers, so they are acting on a wave of a big advertising campaign of their competitors.

3. If you’re good in your homework, you are fully capable to predict the next steps of your competitors; it will give you an advantage over time.

In the end, please understand that not all of your competitors are hopeless; you always have something to learn from them.

Be a faithful disciple of your competitors and time spent on them will certainly pay off.
